Happy New Year!
OMG Studios Boise made it through its first year of business! December 1st was our official 1-year anniversary of being in our space, while January 1st was the official 1-year anniversary of our LLC. And on January 31st, I will celebrate 2-years of being fully self-employed. OMG!
One Year!
Can you believe that OMG Studios Boise has been open for a year? OMG! And what a year it’s been. Between #OMGFemaleFilmmakers, OMG Studios Boise, and OMG Media Outlet, I’ve had my hands full. Add in a graduate degree program, health issues, an anxious dog, and three cats who aim to kill me in my sleep, and we’ve got an unmatched year of awesomeness. My last day of school was Sunday, November 26th, and in true Steph fashion, as soon as I submitted my final, I hopped on a plane bound for Atlanta, Georgia, to create content with and for local nonprofit, United Vision for Idaho.

Aloha e komo mai (hello and welcome). OMG Studios Boise got a fresh coat of paint! It has been needed for a while and what a perfect way to transition from old paint to new paint after our All Hallows’ Eve Mixed Media Mixer where artist Luma Jasim performed live. She painted a beautiful masterpiece in our studio while providing us with spoken word about her journey and her life as an artist from Iraq. She was accompanied with soul-touching music by musician Ryan Garrett. Along with Luma, we had artists Britney Brougham, Aryssa Hutchins, Reham Aarti, GiGi Huntley, Free Spirits Beverages, and improv troupe Creatively. It was a wonderful evening of art, conversation, and connection.

Aloha! Welcome to our first newsletter! Steph Cullen here, CEO and Founder of #OMGFemaleFilmmakers and OMG Studios Boise. As I inch closer to completing my Master of Arts in Communication with an emphasis on New Media and Marketing through Southern New Hampshire University, it is time to take what I’ve been learning for over two years and implement that knowledge into my business.
Introducing OMG Media Outlet a new branch of my OMG brand for media, marketing, and communications. We are adding digital marketing packages, social media marketing, corporate communications, real estate marketing, nonprofit support, and podcast production to our list of services. Of course, our emphasis is still on video, because did you know that 87% of marketers feel that video has a direct, positive impact on sales? (Hayes, 2023). Besides, I have this kickass video production studio, audio recording studio, and collaboration space nestled in the heart of Garden City! That’s a video producer’s dream come true!
